Rodgers targets trophy and 'attacking football' in Saudi challenge

As Peter Lawwell announced he is standing down as Celtic chairman, the man who worked under him twice as manager was preparing for his first media conference as head coach with Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah. In a club interview, Brendan Rodgers said he is "really excited at the challenge of coming out of that comfort zone" of British football "and working with more diverse players and a different way of life". In his only reference to Celtic, he pointed out that he "managed 812 games in British football, so I have a lot of experience in the Premier League and working with Celtic as well, which is a huge institution", and that would stand him in good stead. ...
